From September 29 to October 5, the 2026 International Audiovisual Artworks Expo, or Audio Expo, will be held at the Beijing Performing Arts Centre. Admission is free and no reservation is required.

The Audio Expo will feature six exhibition zones, including, for the first time, a dedicated area for full-featured high-end audio equipment for audiophiles. Leading audio equipment manufacturers and industry experts from China and abroad will be brought together to create a professional, high-quality showcase for premium audio, combining hands-on experiences with opportunities for commercial transactions.

Six Themed Exhibition Zones

Audiovisual Art Zone: Exhibitors from 19 countries and regions will showcase more than 4,000 items. Highlights include a special Leslie Cheung record exhibition, a display by the National Centre for the Performing Arts Record Company, and the Melody & Matrix Shop.

International Audiovisual Art and Technology Zone: This zone brings together well-known audio brands and vinyl record labels from China and abroad. Exhibits include century-old acoustic collections and cutting-edge technologies such as Dolby Atmos experiences, interactive music, AI audio and lossless audio.

Books and Cultural and Creative Products Zone: Working with CITIC Press Group and other leading publishers and cultural and creative brands, this zone brings together music-themed publications and a diverse range of cultural and creative products.

Art and Technology Zone: This zone showcases cutting-edge developments in AI-powered music creation, large-scale immersive experiences, digital art, and more. Powered by AI, the thousand-year-old Grand Canal and masterpieces of classical Chinese painting are brought to life in dynamic digital form, giving this cultural heritage new vitality in the digital age.

Art Exhibition Zone: This zone will feature the themed exhibition "A Century of Recorded Sound: A Retrospective on the Development of Chinese Records" (世纪留声——中国唱片发展回顾), alongside cross-disciplinary exhibitions including a graduate design show from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and illustration exhibitions.

Outdoor Leisure Zone: This year, the lawn leisure area, including its tent setup, has been relocated to the second-floor terrace and integrated with the reading area, creating a new elevated space for visitors to relax.
