The 2024 Tianqiao Open-House Festival kicked off at Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center on July 13 and will run until July 31. The event offers visitors a diverse array of experiences including a traditional Beijing cultural market, a children's art exhibition, a new selection of refreshments at the café, and a reading program highlighting the cultures of Beijing and Tianqiao.
Throughout the event, wonderful performances showcasing the charm of the traditional Chinese culture will be staged at Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center, including two dance dramas, a Kunqu opera, a Beijing-style play, and a musical.
At the art corridor on the second floor, a children's art exhibition presents a selection of 46 outstanding artworks themed on dragon, one of the twelve Chinese zodiac signs. The exhibition will last until August 20, open daily from 10:00 to 17:30 (closed on Mondays).
On the first floor, Qiansanmen Café has launched limited-edition "Taste of Beijing" refreshments, including cold drinks and the "Lucky Dragon Kid" dessert.
The reading program themed "Jingyun Tianqiao" has also been launched, aiming to promote the traditional Chinese culture and the culture of theatrical performances by holding public reading sessions, theater workshops, and reading lectures.
