"A Garden Within: An Immersive Light and Shadow Exhibition of Qianlong Garden Presented by the Palace Museum" just opened at the National Library of China (National Museum of Classic Books) on July 9. Featuring 15 immersive scenes and 17 interactive installations, the exhibition uses cutting-edge digital technologies to transform the architectural aesthetics and cultural anecdotes of a classical garden into an immersive environment that visitors can experience and interact with.

Qianlong Garden, located in the northwest of the Palace of Tranquil Longevity (Ningshou Gong) in the Forbidden City, highlights various art forms, including garden design, architecture, painting, carving, and interior decoration. It also epitomizes the achievements of the Qing Dynasty's palatial construction and garden artistry. At present, the garden is not yet fully open to the public. Through digital technologies, you will be able to explore the garden even though you can't make it in person.
The exhibition is ticketed and will run through December 6.
