On April 12, the exhibition titled "Wood and World: African Wood Sculptures from the NAMOC Collections" opened at the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC). As a key project of the "China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges", this exhibition is co-hosted by the China International Culture Association and NAMOC. It features a total of 128 fine works including wood sculptures, bronze sculptures and paintings, which are created by artists from several African countries including Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, and Tanzania, as well as some Chinese artists.

This exhibition also features a special display of Picasso's work "Man and Woman by a Vase", a donation from Peter and Irene Ludwig (a famous art collector couple), and is now in the collection of the museum.
