Recently, the 2026 Jingcai Spring Festival Lantern Carnival (2026年京彩新春彩灯嘉年华) officially kicked off at the Beijing World Park. It features seven distinct themed exhibition areas with 180 creative light installations, creating a multi-layered visual spectacle in both day and night.

The event showcases over 100 iconic lantern installations. At the square outside the east gate of the park, the "Blessings Shine Upon All Nations, Connecting Us With the World" (福照万邦 结缘天下) lantern set stands 12 meters high, integrating traditional Chinese elements such as auspicious clouds and Chinese knots, symbolizing reunion, happiness, and unity.

In the inner square, the "Bumper Harvest" (五谷丰登) lantern set stands 7 meters tall, featuring lanterns resembling golden wheat ears, plump pumpkins, and other agricultural products, and paired with the lanterns shaped like children in traditional New Year paintings. The set conveys the joy of harvest and hopes for prosperity.

At the south entrance, the 9-meter-high "Jingcai Goddess" (京彩女神) lantern set presents a magnificent traditional attire, with intricate details showcasing the inheritance and innovation of intangible cultural heritage techniques.

Other unique lantern sets, such as the "Dreamy Unicorn" (梦幻独角兽) carriage and the "Instant Success" (马到成功) mechanical steed, not only align with the theme of the coming Year of the Horse but also create visually appealing photo spots.

During the event, six thematic sub-events will be launched in stages, including the "Starlight and Firework Hot Pot Festival" (星辰烟火火锅节), a fair themed "Festive Goods Celebrating New Year for Fortune" (年货闹春迎福运), and the "Chinese New Year Temple Fair" (新春庙会中国年), making every day and week packed with highlights. Meanwhile, the park will bring together time-honored culinary brands, regional specialty flavors, China-chic souvenirs, traditional folk experiences, New Year gift boxes, and more. With various settings including cozy starlight domes, as well as intangible cultural heritage experiences, the park will comprehensively upgrade visitors' sense of participation and fulfillment.

It is noteworthy that the event adopts a distinctive "daytime+nighttime" touring model, offering tourists an enhanced immersive experience. During the day, the miniature artworks of world-famous landmarks serve as the core attractions, complemented with study sessions, interactive games, and other activities, creating an experience package integrating sightseeing, interactions, and learning. At night, the colorful intangible cultural heritage lanterns complement the illuminated miniature landscapes, elevating visitors' experience from "visual appreciation" to "full immersion".
