The second season of The Dunhuang Culture & Art Exhibition opened at the Beijing Exhibition Center on November 12.

During the first season of the Dunhuang Culture & Art Exhibition, the "Treasures in Caves" unit recreated the Cave 17 of the Mogao Caves in its original shape and size. Archival photographs and replicated artifacts were also used to tell the century-long story of how the Library Cave was discovered and how its treasures were scattered across the world. Building on this foundation, the second season centers on the digital return of Library Cave relics, adding 11 replicated exhibits of precious lost cultural relics once housed overseas.

Dunhuang attire represents a key aspect of Dunhuang's cultural and artistic research, with the second season introducing more than ten new reproductions of donor portraits from Dunhuang cave murals. They are partnering with the Dunhuang Costume Culture Research and Innovation Design Center to showcase seven restored costume art pieces, bringing ancient designs vividly back to life.

Beyond the exhibition itself, visitors' enthusiasm for Dunhuang extends into the themed products. The Shazhou Moments cafĂ© on the first floor offers four Dunhuang-themed specialty drinks, while the cultural and creative products section features new digital collectibles, along with books, fridge magnets, calendars, plush toys, and other Dunhuang-inspired items.
