The very first event under the "Event Call" program by the International Web Portal of Beijing is coming soon! On the afternoon of November 26, we invite you to step into the Beijing Workers' Stadium and discover a "time capsule" and cutting-edge, futuristic technologies of Beijing.

The Beijing Workers' Stadium, one of the "Ten Major Architectural Projects" constructed to mark the 10th anniversary (1959) of the founding of the People's Republic of China, embodies a rich history and collective memories. Reconstructed in 2023, it is now a vibrant urban landmark serving sport, cultural, and commercial purposes, not to mention that it houses the world's first national-level landmark metaverse platform! Put on a pair of VR goggles, and you can take part in a penalty shootout against a digital avatar based on an international football star!
What "Unexpected Experiences" Await?
As an Experience Officer, you'll get exclusive access to the players' tunnel, spectator stands, and even normally off-limit areas such as VIP suites, players' locker rooms, and players' entrance corridors. You'll witness firsthand the architectural charm of the stadium's design after reconstruction, which is highlighted by "traditional exterior and modern interior". GTVerse Center (a metaverse experience area) is also something not to be missed, where professional instructors will guide you through a fully immersive VR experience — becoming a goalkeeper to take on a virtual penalty challenge against a world football star's digital twin!

In addition, we look forward to getting your feedback on this event and your suggestions for improving the "Traveling in Beijing" section of the International Web Portal of Beijing. Your opinions matter to us!
How to Become One of the First Experience Officers?
Please send a brief self-introduction with your name, gender, nationality, occupation, length of stay in Beijing, residential area, contact information, and a short note about what you look forward to most in this event via e-mail (beiling@cri.cn). The title should include "Application for Registration as an Experience Officer for the 'Event Call'".
The deadline is November 21.
In the future, the "Event Call" program of the International Web Portal of Beijing will continue to launch exciting themed events from time to time — come and join us!
