On March 29, China Southern Airlines launched its inaugural flight connecting the Beijing Daxing International Airport to Helsinki. This is the first direct air route operated by a Chinese airline to a Nordic country from the Daxing Airport.

Up to now, 71 domestic and international airlines have launched operations at the Daxing Airport. In the new flight season, the airport is scheduled to serve nearly 180 domestic and international destinations, including 44 international and regional destinations covering more than 20 countries and regions across Europe, Asia, Africa and beyond.

In terms of air cargo logistics, the new direct route will drastically shorten the transportation time between China and Finland without the need for flights departing from Beijing to transfer via hubs such as Copenhagen and Brussels.

Passengers from over 50 cities across China can travel via Daxing Airport to Helsinki and many other European destinations. Two-way interlinking services are now available, allowing every traveler to enjoy a smoother transfer with one boarding pass and through-checked baggage.

Operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, the route will initially run three times a week. It will increase to one flight per day starting from June 20.
