Nanhan River Waterfront Greenway

Stretching 5 kilometers southward from Wan'an East Road to the Yongding River's diversion canal, this greenway serves as a great place for water play, sightseeing, flower appreciation, and leisure activities. The shallow areas boast lucid water, perfect for wading in to beat the heat. Golden tickseed flowers bloom in profusion along both banks, forming a picturesque landscape reflected in the sparkling water. From the waterfront platform, you can also see the Western Hills in the distance.

Qinghezhizhou (Qinghe Oasis)

The Qinghe River stretches 11.6 kilometers through Haidian District, with lush greenery lining both banks. On each bank, a broad walkway is separated from cycling lanes, ideal for an evening stroll. At Qinghezhizhou, you might even catch a glimpse of elegant black swans. When you need a break, stop by the Qinghe - Cha Erju (清河·茶贰居, a tea house) or Basic Element Coffee, where you can savor cold-brew tea or coffee while enjoying the riverside breeze. Sometimes you may also catch a movie screened outdoors.

Bagou Scenic Park

Tucked beside the Kunyu River, this stylish little park features green trees, small bridges, and clear water in delightful harmony. Hidden inside is a large patch of Jingxi rice paddies, where lush green rice plants sway gently in the summer breeze. Lotus buds peek out from tranquil ponds, while wooden pavilions offer quiet retreats — all making this park a serene, cool spot away from the urban hustle and bustle.
