The Beijing Grand Canal Cultural Scenic Area has recently opened multiple wharves to traffic and launched carefully designed sightseeing and performance routes and convenient ferry services, offering new ways to enjoy the tranquil charm and laid-back atmosphere on the Grand Canal.

Fuyuan Wharf - Sightseeing Route

Route: South Wharf of West Bank (运河西岸南码头)–Fuyuan Wharf (福园码头) (shuttle)

Duration: 25 minutes

Schedule:

Departures from South Wharf of West Bank: 10:00, 11:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00

Departures from Fuyuan Wharf: 10:30, 11:30, 14:30, 15:30, 16:30

Fare: 20 yuan per person (one-way); 30 yuan per person (round-trip)

Location of Fuyuan Wharf: About 200 meters north of Fuyuan Park, next to Jiaxing Observation Deck (嘉兴观景台). You can walk south for about 2 minutes from Fuyuan Wharf to reach the park's entrance.

No. 2 Wharf - Premium Day Tour Route

Route: No. 2 Wharf (2号码头)–Caoyun Wharf (漕运码头) (round-trip)

Duration: 60 minutes

Schedule:

Weekdays: 10:00, 14:00

Weekends and Holidays: 9:30, 10:45, 14:00, 15:30

South Wharf of West Bank - Loop Sightseeing Route 

Route: South Wharf of West Bank–Yudaihe Bridge–No. 2 Wharf–Dongguan Bridge–South Wharf of West Bank

Duration: 20 minutes

Fare: 30 yuan per adult; half price for children

Traditional-Style Boat Sightseeing Route

Route: Liuyin Wharf (柳荫码头)–Reed Wetland Bird Islands (芦苇湿地鸟岛)–Lotus Pond–Caoyun Wharf–Observation Deck–Liuyin Wharf

Schedule: The boat will depart once there are 10 or more passengers.

Boarding Location: Liuyin Wharf (navigate to the Police Station in the Beijing Grand Canal Cultural Scenic Area)

Special Performance Route

Route: West Canal Bank Wharf–Yuntong Bridge (运通桥)–Qianhe Xielu Bridge (千荷泻露桥)–West Canal Bank Wharf

Ferry Route

Route: Caoyun Wharf–Liuyin Wharf (shuttle and round-trip)

Fare: 15 yuan per person (one-way); 20 yuan per person (round-trip)

Location of Liuyin Wharf: Enter through the west gate of the scenic area and walk straight to the riverbank.
