Shunyi Stages the 6th Winter Carnival

On December 1, the 6th "Snow & Ice" carnival was held in Shunyi, Beijing this year. Lasting for 3 months, the carnival will witness the coming of major festivals like New Year, Spring Festival and Lantern Festival, meeting people's need in winter for recreation in Beijing's suburban. The carnival is an important "business card" of Shunyi District.

The event has been held successfully during the past 5 years and favor by people in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. This year, it will integrate local winter tourism resources, such as its transportation, hot spring resources, ski resort of national level, together with industries, local cultures, folk art, winter sports, etc., and make the carnival fully benefit local people. The whole event contributes to the preparation of the Beijing 2022 Games and the popularization of winter sports.
