BEIJING, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition featuring traditional Chinese New Year paintings will open in the Capital Museum of China in Beijing on Sunday.

It is also online at www.culturedc.cn and shows more than 230 works to demonstrate the new fashion and style of Chinese people's well-off lives.

The paintings were selected from a cultural campaign organized by authorities, including the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the China Artists Association.

Joint and touring exhibitions will be held in Jiangsu, Tianjin, Shandong, Henan, Hebei and Sichuan.
