Bounded by Nanlishi Road to the west, Taipingqiao Street to the east, Fuchengmen Inner Street to the north, and Chang'an Avenue to the south, Beijing Financial Street covers an area of 2.59 square kilometers with a total floor area of over 6 million square meters. It serves as a national financial management center, integrating policy decision-making and regulation, standard setting, asset management, payment and settlement, information exchange, and international cooperation.
Today, Beijing Financial Street has generally established a diversified financial institution system, with industry-leading financial entities at its core and a broad range of financial organizations developing in coordination. Although it only occupies 0.02 percent of Beijing's total area, it contributes over one-third of the city's added value in the financial industry and nearly 70 percent of its tertiary tax revenue in the industry. It stands as the region with the highest concentration of financial institutions and professionals, the largest flow of RMB-denominated assets, and the most prominent tax contribution in China.
