The 16th Taoranting Park Ice and Snow Carnival kicked off today (December 26), marking the opening of the largest snow playground within Beijing's 2nd Ring Road. This year's event features a massive 38,000-square-meter snow field, parades of adorable penguins, and a range of upgraded facilities and activities.

The penguin area has always been a major highlight of the carnival. This year, the carnival offers a better viewing experience, with an interactive clown show following each penguin parade.

Visitors of all ages can find something to enjoy at the carnival. In the center of the park's South Lake stands a replicated elephant slide—a cherished childhood memory for many Beijing residents. The snow field offers a variety of thrilling activities, including ice sliding and snow tubing, alongside child-friendly offerings such as bumper balls, a snow train, and a mechanical fun area. This year, the popular snow tubing has been upgraded with dual conveyor belts to reduce physical exertion. Additionally, the much-loved ice slide has been expanded from a single lane to two lanes, significantly reducing waiting times and providing visitors with an even more exhilarating experience.
Ticket options include a 139-yuan single-person pass, a 219-yuan two-person pass, a 299-yuan three-person pass, and a 50-yuan entry ticket for accompanying visitors.
