The "Fun in the Snow IN Beijing" 2nd Beijing Ice and Snow Tourism Season kicked off on January 9 in Yuyuantan Park, Haidian District. Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism introduced 17 hand-drawn maps for ice and snow-themed trips in winter and "fun travel" routes in Beijing to provide locals and tourists from elsewhere richer ice and snow experiences.

The tourism season is divided into four themed sections: "Adventurous Fun" that features ice and snow attractions and projects, hot springs, and homestays; "Family Time" specifically designed for families to explore wonders of ice and snow; "Festive Flavors of the Capital" that includes carnivals, temple fairs, lantern festivals, and markets; and "Winter Exclusives" that encompasses creative season-specific offers unique to Beijing.

A "treasure map" and a practical guide, covering 34 special routes and multiple itinerary options, such as one-day and two-day trips, have been compiled by 16 districts of Beijing and Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area in a hand-painted way to help tourists easily access Beijing's ice and snow tourism resources. These routes feature events such as Dongcheng's Longtan Ice and Snow Festival which invites visitors to unlock new ice and snow experiences, the Ice and Snow Carnivals at Shichahai Ice Rink, Beihai Ice Rink, and Taoranting Park where visitors can partake in the special ice and snow events in winter, and Yanqing's Badaling Great Wall where visitors can hike to heights for the snowy vibe. With the guide, tourists can also easily stay updated on the latest news and special offers of Beijing's ice and snow tourism sector.
