As the Year of the Dragon approaches, many popular destinations in Beijing are launching festive activities for a happy Chinese New Year.

Beiijng Wenyuhe Park

Beijing Wenyuhe Park, the largest "green lung" in the city, will host the enchanting "Megalight Wonderland" in its Chaoyang section during the Spring Festival holiday.

14th Taoranting Ice and Snow Carnival

Relying on the Taoranting Lake, the largest water feature in the park, the 14th Taoranting Ice and Snow Carnival has introduced the Crystal Castle Ice Slide, nighttime scenic lighting, and new activities such as penguin parades and interactive art performances to visitors.

Longtan Temple Fair

Located along the southern moat of Beijing, Longtan Lake is surrounded by Longtan Park, Longtan Zhonghu Park, and Longtan Xihu Park. Longtan Temple Fair is one of Beijing's long-standing traditional fairs, featuring annual exhibitions related to intangible cultural heritage. The fair is also wellknown for its diverse winter activities.

Liangma River Urban Lighting Show

During the Spring Festival holiday, five landmark areas including the Liangma River, the Tonghui River, Beijing Olympic Tower, Wangjing building cluster, and CBD will showcase dazzling evening light shows, creating a vibrant spectacle at nighttime.

"Universal's Chinese New Year" Themed Events

During the Spring Festival holiday, Universal Beijing Resort traversed by the Xiaotaihou River will present the spectacular "Universal's Chinese New Year" themed event.

North Canal Riverside Garden Party

During the Spring Festival, the riverside area of the North Canal will organize a New Year-themed Garden Party at the Canal Culture Square, Caoyun (grain transport by waterways) Wharf, and the "Three Temples and One Pagoda" scenic area. Citizens and visitors can explore the fair, watch flower boat performances, appreciate fish lanterns, and enjoy traditional iron flower shows.

Enchanting Jingzhuang: Joyful Ice and Snow Season

Duijiushi Scenic Area in Jingzhuang Town, Yanqing District is presenting the "Passionate Ice and Snow Sports Festival" along the East Shahe River. Visitors can admire the ice falls, taste hot pots over ice, and partake in tea-making around a stove on the 20,000-square-meter natural ice rink.
