Former Site of Qinghuayuan Railway Station Opens to Public on April 29, Reservations Available for Visitors

The Former Site of the Qinghuayuan Railway Station officially opened to the public on April 29, 2023, welcoming both individual visitors and group tours.

Opening hours: 09:00-12:00 (last admission at 11:30), 14:00-17:30 (last admission at 17:00). Closed on Mondays (including Mondays during national holidays)

Reservation Requirements:

1. Reservations are required. Admission will not be granted without a reservation.

2. Reservations should be made using visitors' real names and can be made via the WeChat account of Cultural Tourism of Haidian (文旅海淀). Real name registration is required for individuals making a reservation for the first time, and a group account is required for anyone wishing to book a group tour (eight to fifteen people). Reservations can be made after the verification. (After an application for account registration is submitted, verification procedure will take one working day to complete.) A tour guide is required to accompany group reservations, and the guide should provide the information of all group members. After submitting a reservation application, relevant staff will review the application (within one working day), and only after the review is approved can visitors attend the site.

3. Time slots for individual visits:

09:00—09:45, 09:45—10:30,

10:30—11:15, 11:15—12:00,

14:00—14:45, 14:45—15:30,

15:30—16:15, 16:15—17:00.

4. Time slots for group visit:

09:00—10:00, 10:00—11:00,

11:00—12:00, 14:00—15:00,

15:00—16:00, 16:00—17:00.

5. After making a reservation, a QR code will be generated by the system which will function as an admission ticket. If visitors miss the time slots they booked, they should contact a member of staff who will try to allocate them a different time slot. If visitors cannot make their time slot for any reason, reservations can be canceled through the official WeChat account of Cultural Tourism of Haidian (文旅海淀), by finding the menu bar and pressing "Cultural tourism in your hands" (掌上文旅) - "digital platform" (数字平台) - "my account" (我的) - "my orders: event/venue" (活动订单/场馆订单). The deadline for cancellation is six hours before the booked time slot. Two no-shows within 30 days will automatically result in accounts being unable to make reservations for one year.

6. Older people (aged 60 and above) and people with disabilities can make reservations on site with valid certificates and should follow arrangements made by staff to visit the station at designated time slots. Minors (under the age of 14) should be accompanied by adults.

Transportation:

Address: Former Site of Qinghuayuan Railway Station Park, 80 meters west of the intersection of Chengfu Road and Zhongguancun East Road, Haidian District, Beijing

Subway: Exit from Wudaokou Station on Subway Line 13 and head west for 500 meters; exit from East Gate of Peking University Station of Line 4 and head east for 1.3 km.

Bus: Take the No.129, No.307, No.331, No.355, No.375, No.438, No.450, No.549 buses, or BRT No.200 bus and get off at Qinghuayuan Station, then head east 300 meters.

Tips:

1. There is no parking available at the former site of Qinghuayuan railway station itself or nearby residential areas. Public transportation is recommended for visitors.

2. The Former Site of Qinghuayuan Railway Station is located close to several residential buildings. Visitors are requested to please keep noise to a minimum in the station and the square in front of it.
