The Beijing Badaling Wildlife World is the largest mountain wildlife park in China. Located at the foot of the Badaling section of the Great Wall, and right next to the Badaling Expressway, it covers an area of around 400 hectares. Home to nearly 10,000 wild animals of more than 100 species, this eco-tourism park meets the needs for sightseeing, leisure, vacation, and science education. It also plays a significant role in animal rescue and breeding as well as public welfare-oriented environmental protection.

The park is just a 40-minute drive from the downtown, making it easy to get to by car. The park's internal shuttle buses are free to all visitors (tickets are required). There are two routes leading from the main gate on the north side to the square on the south side. One route passes through the Predator Area (primarily featuring carnivorous animals), where visitors can drive their own vehicles or take the park's sightseeing buses to observe large carnivores along the route, or take a caged vehicle for a close-up feeding experience. The other route passes through the Gentle Animal Area (mostly herbivores), where visitors can get out of their vehicles to interact with the animals and even have the chance to feed them, offering a fun and engaging experience.
Tips
1.It is prohibited to get out of the vehicle or open windows while touring the Predator Area. When visiting the Gentle Animal Area, please keep a distance of at least 2 meters when interacting with animals; do not touch, tease, startle, or chase any of the animals in this area.
2.Visitors driving their own vehicles must not feed animals without authorization.
3.Recommended foods for feeding animals in the Gentle Animal Area include vegetables and fruits such as carrots, cucumbers, and cabbage. Do not bring processed foods, snacks, candies, or similar items.
