The Beijing - Miyun WTown (Simatai Great Wall) International Tourist Leisure Resort (the "Beijing WTown" for short) is in Miyun District, nestled next to the Yuanyang Lake Reservoir and backed by the Simatai Great Wall — one of the most spectacular sections of the Great Wall of China. The resort is situated 120 kilometers from the Beijing Capital International Airport, showcasing distinctive features of northern China. Serving as an ideal destination for sightseeing, this resort also meets the needs for leisurely vacations, commercial exhibitions and conventions, and more. It also stands as a hub for cultural creativity.

Within the resort, exquisite mountain courtyard buildings whose styles belong to the Ming (1368–1644) and Qing (1644–1911) dynasties and the Republic of China era (1912–1949) cover a total of 430,000 square meters. It contains 10 boutique hotels, 28 guesthouses, over 30 independent restaurants, more than 50 shops, over 10 cultural display and experience areas, and a full range of facilities.

The Simatai Great Wall is the only section of the Ming Great Wall that has its original appearance preserved. It is renowned worldwide for its five major characteristics: steep terrain, dense arrangement of watchtowers, structural integrity, ingenious design, and exceptional preservation.
