Required by the Chinese Government, all international students must have medical insurance when studying in China. For your convenience and safety, students are strongly encouraged to purchase their own insurance before coming to China. However, if you are not covered by any type of insurance when you come to China, you can buy foreign student insurance provided by Chinese insurance companies with the guidance of the school's foreign students administration office.
