Recently, Beijing Union University organized international students to participate in the 2024 HSK Short Video Contest. International students from Russia, Thailand, and Japan actively participated in this event, submitting 45 videos that fully showcased their achievements in learning Chinese and their enthusiasm and talent for Chinese culture. BUU also won the "Excellent Organization Award" for participating institutions in this event.

The event was initiated by Chinese Test International in collaboration with Tsinghua University's Southeast Asia Center. More than 1,500 short videos were submitted by Chinese language learners from over 300 universities and institutions across 111 countries worldwide. These works were exhibited on the official HSK Bilibili and YouTube platforms and received widespread attention.

This was the first time BUU organized international students to participate in this short video contest. The students' entries reflected their experiences and gains in learning Chinese and understanding Chinese culture during their study abroad journey. This event not only provided an opportunity for students to practice the language but also promoted the exchange of methods and insights into learning Chinese, further inspiring their motivation to learn Chinese and enhancing their sense of achievement in studying in China and their recognition of Chinese culture. BUU will continue to organize students to actively participate in such events, continuously accumulate competition experience, and expand our influence in the field of international student education.
