International Students from BFU Participate in Conference of China Society of Forestry, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Economics

The 2024 Annual Conference of the China Society of Forestry, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Economics and the Seminar on "Driving Modernization of Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Fishery, and Grass Industries with New Quality Productive Forces" were held in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from August 10 to 11, 2024. For the first time, a special forum for international students was set up for the annual conference, which was attended by 21 international students from the International College and the School of Economics and Management of Beijing Forestry University.

At the forum, Kondwani Damian Chimbayo, a PhD student from Malawi at the School of Economics and Management, delved into the challenges and solutions in agricultural modernization. Aye Pyone Thi Han, a Master's student from Myanmar, shared unique insights into regional sustainable development strategies during a speech themed "Dual Carbon Initiatives in Southeast Asia: A Strategic Focus on China". Majd Aljoman, a PhD student from Syria, presented the "Introduction to Sustainable Forestry in the Belt and Road Context", providing participants with new ideas on sustainable forestry development from a global perspective.

At the end of the forum, international students from different countries and regions discussed hot issues on forestry, animal husbandry and fishery economics in light of their own national realities. They not only shared their research findings and practical experiences, but also provided opinions and suggestions on how to strengthen international cooperation and jointly address the challenges regarding these industries.
