Approved by the Ministry of Education, Kede College of Capital Normal University (KDCNU) is a new type of full-time regular institution of higher education (independent college) that is qualified to implement undergraduate level academic education. The school is included into the unified enrollment plan of regular colleges and universities, with over 5,000 students in campus.
The KDCNU is situated in Daxing District, Beijing. Its main campus covers an area of around 500 acres, and another 1,400 acres are designated for its base for internship and practice. The KDCNU consists of the School of Art and Design, School of Media, School of Performing Arts and International Business School, and has a total of 38 bachelor degree programs and majors. In 2011, the KDCNU enrolled students into its 16 bachelor degree programs and majors, including Art Design, Exhibition Economics and Management, Broadcasting & Television Editing and Directing, Art of Broadcasting & Hosting, Photography and Performance.
