International Youth University (IYU) is sponsored by the China Youth Center for International Exchange, an international cultural exchange institution under the Chinese Communist Youth League (CCYL) Central Committee.

The IYU is a part-time and civilian-run institution of higher education without the authorization to confer diploma. It was officially authorized to enroll foreign students in 1996. The university provides young people both at home and abroad with the course of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, and prepares them for relevant national examinations. It also provides them with vocational skills training programs concerning traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), cooking and handcraft, as well as excellent traditional cultural programs in the fields such as martial arts, tea ceremony, calligraphy, painting, dance, and musical instruments.

The university is equipped with top-class teaching facilities, international teaching environment, outstanding Chinese and foreign teachers, and rich and colorful course contents. We have trained a large number of professional and practical talents at home and abroad.

The institution has always been adhering to the idea of "International youth serving the world". We will further explore the new mode of international education, continually improving the education service system in all aspects. We will keep making contribution to youth entrepreneurship and employment in all possible ways. We also will make every effort to assist the development of China's education and personnel training, cultural exchanges, and transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the countries and regions along the Belt and Road.
