Description: Jingshan Park, located at the center of the north-south axis of Beijing City, is a royal garden with a long history, beautiful environment and profound cultural heritage. It is adjacent to the Forbidden City in the south and Beihai Park in the west and faces the Drum Tower in the north. It was once the highest point of central Beijing. Jingshan Park was the backyard of the imperial palace in the Yuan (1271-1368), Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. It was officially opened as a park in 1928.
