Address: Juyongguan Great Wall Scenic Area, Juyongguan Town, Changping District, Beijing
Description: The Juyongguan Great Wall is an important component of the Great Wall of China, with a history of over 2000 years. Due to its treacherous terrain, it has been known as the "Number One Great Wall in the World" since ancient times. The Juyongguan Great Wall is 4142 meters long, with overlapping mountains, flowing streams, lush vegetation, and pleasant scenery. It is known as the "Juyongguan Cuicui" in the "Eight Scenic Spots of Yanjing" during the Qing Dynasty and has been passed down to this day. Juyongguan has supporting buildings with different functions, such as the North South Coupon City, City Tower, Enemy Terrace, and Water Gate, forming a complete and rigorous military defense system. The city has complete facilities such as academies, temples, inns, shopping streets, and warehouses. Among them, the foundation of the street crossing tower built in the Yuan Dynasty, named "Yuntai", is a beautiful masterpiece of the existing Yuan Dynasty stone carving art. In 1987, the Great Wall of China was approved by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee and included in the World Heritage List. In 1992, Changping District carried out a comprehensive restoration of the Great Wall architecture at Juyongguan, reproducing its former grandeur. It was officially opened to visitors in March 1998. In 2002, the Juyongguan Great Wall was rated as an "AAAA level tourist area" by the National Tourism Administration.
