During a session on the internationalization ofrural tourism, guests offered recommendations from various perspectives, including policy planning, industry practices and international cooperation, offering insights into how to further promote the international development of rural tourism in Beijing's suburbs.
The Program for International Empowerment of Rural Tourism was officially launched at the event. Centered on the question of "How can China's countryside reach a global audience?", itaddresses the current situation in which rural tourism is popular among domestic travelers but has yet to gain the same level of recognition overseas. It calls for a platform with expertise in international communication and access to global resources to advance the internationalization of rural tourism. As a national-level international communication platform, CRI Online will provide comprehensive support for the international development of China's rural tourism in four areas: language services, communication channels, international networks and operations.
The event also saw the launch of the "Cycling in China" IP. Leveraging Beijing's well-developed cycling resources in its suburbs, the initiative will select distinctive cycling routes for key target groups including young trendsetters, outdoor enthusiasts and families with children. It will adopt an integrated model combining online content creation with offline people-to-people exchange activities, creating a complete cycle from cultural communication to industry development and economic benefits. Going forward, it will develop a range of offerings, including cycling guides, educational tours, sporting events and brand collaborations. These efforts will help the IP continue to grow and invite more people from China and abroad to "explore Beijing's countryside on two wheels and discover China through its mountains and waters".
