4. Nighttime Views at Jingshan Park
Many parks in Beijing boast beautiful views, but Jingshan Park, the highest point in Beijing in the old times, is the best place to appreciate the view of the Forbidden City at night. At sunset, the imposing Forbidden City unfolds before you.
Wanchun Pavilion upon the central peak of Jingshan is located right on the central axis of the capital. If you look towards the south, you can overlook the Forbidden City and its golden glazed roofs. To the north is the historic Drum Tower. To the west are Beihai, the White Tower, and a prominent Central Radio & Television Tower. To the east lies the CBD, including China World Trade Center Tower III. With a wide-angle lens, you can capture spectacular images of the Forbidden City.
