Starting from March 21, a total of 1,500-odd cruise ships of various sizes in five municipal parks, namely the Summer Palace, Beihai Park, Zizhuyuan Park, Yuyuantan Park and Taoranting Park, were officially released to meet tourist demand.
Cruise ships of Taoranting Park have officially ushered in the 5G era this year, as they are now equipped with functions of "5G + Beidou" real-time navigation, online queuing, calling systems, smart launch controls, and online + offline cashier management, etc.
Instead of queuing up for the ride, it takes only one member of a family to scan the QR code, select the dock and ship, and enter their phone number before boarding immediately, depending on where they are in the queue. Otherwise, after filling in the appropriate information, tourists would receive a reminder via text message when their turn is approaching. After the ride, tourists only need to scan the QR code on the dock again for timing, refunds and payment.
The 5G navigation box is equipped on all 5G cruise ships, which would trigger instructions from the ship's broadcasting system in case of special weather or emergencies during the trip. Meanwhile, the central control room would warn tourists and send medical help via speedboat.
To ensure safety for tourists, all ships in operation of the municipal parks will strengthen epidemic prevention administration. Tourists are also expected to strictly follow the epidemic prevention administrative requirements of parks, and wear masks in middle and large-size ferry cruise ships.
