During the peak of summer, nearly 20,000 sunflowers in the Science Education Garden (科普园) of the western part of Jingshan Park are in full bloom. A vast ocean of golden flowers thrives against the red walls and yellow glazed tiles, unfolding a unique seasonal spectacle along the Beijing Central Axis. The best period for viewing these sunflowers will last until early August.

Last year, the "Four-Season Flower Terrace" (四季花田) in the Science Education Garden drew great attention from social media users, becoming another hotspot of the park. Peonies, sunflowers in summer, garden cosmos in autumn, and tricolor ornamental cabbage in winter together form a unique flower landscape along the Beijing Central Axis, allowing visitors to appreciate different flowers all year round.
