Introduction: Located along the banks of the Juhe and Ruhe rivers in Pinggu District, this greenway is built around a dual-river ecological landscape and extends for 30 kilometers. With riverside cycling and rural leisure as its main highlights, it connects key attractions including the confluence of the two rivers, Elephant Egret Island Nature Park, and Pinggu Museum, making it an ideal destination for cycling, camping, and study tours.
Transportation Guide
Public Transport:
Take Bus Route 852 to Pinggu Bus Station (平谷汽车站), transfer to Pinggu Bus Route 2 to Pinggu New City Riverside Forest Park Station (新城滨河森林公园站) and walk for five minutes to reach the greenway.
Driving:
Navigate to the Parking Lot of Pinggu New City Riverside Forest Park (平谷新城滨河森林公园-停车场).
Travel Tips
Elephant Egret Island is closed on Thursdays; barbecues and other services require a reservation one day in advance.
Pinggu Museum is closed on Mondays.
Cycling is prohibited on the wetland wooden plank road.
