Verdant Strolls: Recommended Greenways in Beijing for 2026

Introduction: Built along the left bank of the Yongding River in Fengtai District, the greenway stretches a total length of 13 kilometers and links key sites including the Lvdi Park (绿堤公园), Purple Valley (紫谷伊甸园) and Wanping Lake (宛平湖). Its core highlights are the colorful cycling track, the lavender flower and the sunset view at the Jingxiong Bridge, making it a perfect spot for cycling and photography.

Take Subway Line 16 to Wanpingcheng Station (宛平城站), exit from Exit D and cycle for 10 minutes to reach the greenway.
Take Bus Route 313 to Dawangmiao Station (大王庙站) and walk 200 meters to Beitiantang Park.
Driving:
Navigate to the Lvdi Park - Northeast Gate Ground Parking Lot (绿堤公园-东北门地上停车场) or Beitiantang Park - East Side Ground Parking Lot (北天堂公园-东侧地上停车场) for free parking.
Travel Tips:
With no nightlights on the greenway, it's advisable to not go too far in it after 18:00 for safety.
For lavender viewing: The blooming peak is from June to August. It is recommended to visit on weekdays to avoid crowds on weekends.
