Introduction: Located in the Western Hills of Shijingshan District in Beijing, this greenway is the core section of the Jingxi ancient road, stretching a total length of 21.67 kilometers with a 2.2-kilometer core segment. It connects key sites including the ancient temples of Badachu, the murals of Fahai Temple and Moshikou Street, making it an ideal destination for hikers, history enthusiasts and fans of intangible cultural heritage.
Transportation Guide
Public Transport:
For a Leisure/Cultural Route: Priority is given to Moshikou Station (模式口站) on Subway Line 11. For the Hiking Route: Priority is given to Xiangshan Station (香山站) on the Xijiao Line, where you can then make a transfer by bus.
Driving:
For the Leisure Route: Park at Moshikou Parking Lot (模式口停车场); For the Hiking Route: Park at the East Gate Parking Lot of Xishan National Forest Park in Beijing (西山国家森林公园东门停车场).
Travel Tips:
The hiking route features numerous mountainous roads, so ensure you wear non-slip shoes, waterproof clothes, and bring plenty of water.
