Occupying a total land area of 680 hectares, the Olympic Forest Park is the largest urban green landscape that consists of two parts, the Southern Garden and the Northern Garden. The Southern Garden is characterized by the large mountain and river landscape including the Yangshan Mountain, the Aohai Lake and the Undercurrent Wetland; while the Northern Garden features small stream landscape including the Rustic Charm in Flower Land, the Swift Tower, and the Arboretum. The ecological corridor stretching over the 5th Ring Road is China's first man-made simulated natural passage that crosses the expressway in the city, connecting the Southern Garden and the Northern Garden.
