As one of the oldest streets in Beijing, Nanluoguxiang is China's largest and top-class chessboard-shaped traditional residential area that boasts China's only well-preserved architectural pattern of hutongs (alleys) and courtyards in the Yuan Dynasty and enjoys the most abundant resources. Moreover, it is also an alley that features the style of traditional Beijing.
