As the start of another decade, the BJIFF invites Mr. Tim Yip, art director, fashion designer and visual artist to convene a masterclass, sharing his thoughts on films, stage, art and literature. 

With constant explorations on the aesthetic value of the "new neo-orientalism", Mr. Yip has developed his own ideas on the enlightenment of the culture on the future. In 2001, he won the "Academy Award for Best Art Direction" (now "Academy Award for Best Production Design") and the BAFTA Award for Best Costume Design for the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, as the first Chinese filmmaker wining the awards. He has cooperated with several world-renowned artists, such as Akram Khan, Yang Liping and Cloud Gate Dance Theater.
