Case 1: Applying for a Certificate of Vaccination for a newborn at a midwifery institution
In accordance with the requirements outlined in the Beijing Immunization Schedule for Vaccine-based Immunization Program, every midwifery institution in Beijing should vaccinate each foreign newborn born in Beijing with the Bacillus Calmette–Guérin (BCG) vaccine and the first dose of hepatitis B vaccine within 24 hours after birth. In addition, the prophylactic vaccination records should be registered and the corresponding Certificate of Vaccination should be issued.
Required materials: An original copy of a valid identity document for one of the newborn's parents (For a foreign national, an original copy of his/her valid passport is required).
Where to apply: Outpatient section of the obstetrics and gynecology department in any of the midwifery institutions in Beijing
Processing time: Please contact the midwifery institution to apply for a Certificate of Vaccination for the newborn after vaccination. The application will be processed as soon as possible after being received.

Case 2: Applying for a Certificate of Vaccination for a newborn at a medical institution
Required materials: An original copy of a valid identity document for one of the newborn's parents (For a foreign national, an original copy of his/her valid passport is required); the residence certificates of the parents of the newborn.
Where to apply: Vaccination outpatient department at the local grass-roots healthcare institution in the place where the newborn's parents reside
Processing time: Please contact the local grass-roots healthcare institution to apply for a Certificate of Vaccination for the newborn after vaccination. Applications will be processed as soon as possible after being received.
