The ancient Great Wall, ancient buildings, modern villages with traditional features, and international resorts...all have constituted the "Great Wall Cultural Belt in Miyun".
Within the Miyun District, there are 144 sections of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, with a total length of 182.1039 kilometers. In addition, 3.6 kilometers of the Northern Qi Dynasty Great Wall can also be found in the district.

It is safe to say that Miyun has a "museum"of Great Wall culture which consists of the Simatai Great Wall, Dachengzi V-shaped Great Wall and Diliu Mountain Great Wall.

The Simatai Great Wall is situated at the north of Simatai Village, Gubeikou Town. Famous for its uniqueness and steepness, the 5.4-kilometer-long Simatai Great Wall is close to Beijing WTown. This section of the Great Wall is unique in its design and varies in shape. Wangjing Tower and Fairy Tower located on it are very distinctive.

The V-shaped Great Wall takes the shape of the letter V and is peculiar to China. Looking like a long dragon, it was built in the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. From near or far, the Great Wall is said to present V for victory.

The Cuo ("Wrong") Great Wall is a special section in Miyun, as it is not in line with the wall from afar. Many believed it was built wrongly. In fact, this section was built like this on purpose. Standing along the mountainous terrain, this section provides a fortifying function.
