1. The internship agreement must not exceed six months.

2. After completing the internship, applicants may not apply for an extension of the Foreigner's Work Permit with the word of 'internship' added.

Effective from November 7, 2023, foreign nationals applying for a work permit are required to submit official documents such as non criminal record in accordance with the Service Guidance on Application for Foreigner's Work Permit in China (Interim) (Wai Zhuan Fa [2017] No. 36). They only need to apply for additional certificates issued by the competent authorities of the contracting parties to the Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents (Apostille Convention) that comply with the provisions of the Convention, and do not need to obtain a consular authentication from China or foreign embassies or consulates in China (For further details, please refer to CS.MFA.GOV.CN) .
