April 20 saw the first intercity commuter bus line between Beijing and Tianjin officially going into operation.
The route runs from Wuqing District in Tianjin to Ciqu Subway Station in Tongzhou District, Beijing. With 16 stops along the way, it operates around the clock on weekdays and weekends and during public holidays. On weekdays, there are 30 daily round-trips. On weekends and during public holidays, 18 round-trips are scheduled per day. The one-way journey takes about 60 minutes.
The bus service adopts a flat fare system. The terminus in Beijing is close to Ciqu Subway Station, offering seamless transfers to Line 17 and Yizhuang Line of the capital's subway network.
This new line effectively complements the existing customized commuter express bus services, helping to build a multi-tiered and diversified travel service system for cross-regional commuters.
