With the departure of the first train on January 31, Wangjingxi Station on Beijing Subway Line 17 has officially opened for operation. Wangjingxi Transport Hub has also commenced full operations after a successful trial period.

The opening enables in-station transfers between Lines 17, 15 and 13 at Wangjingxi Station. The original transfer footbridge between Lines 13 and 15 has now been closed.

Wangjingxi Station is a two-level underground island-platform station. Passengers can transfer to the Line 13 platform via the transfer passage at the south concourse, and to the Line 15 concourse via the transfer passage at the north concourse. Meanwhile, from Entrance/Exit E of the concourse towards the hall of Wangjingxi Transport Hub, passengers can directly access the bus terminal of the hub, enabling seamless transfers between subway and bus services. Following the closure of the footbridge, transfers from Line 15 to Line 13 can now be made via an underground level route, reducing the need for passengers to go up and down stairs, and eliminating the use of the outdoor corridor, making transfers safer and more comfortable.
