Tired of dealing with traffic jams on your daily commute? Have you ever considered switching to the subway while being put off by the congestion around subway stations? Are high parking fees becoming a burden for you? If you answered "yes" to all these questions, the P+R mode might be your solution.

P+R, short for "Park and Ride", allows you to park your car, then transfer to the subway or bus. It can significantly reduce traffic congestion in downtown Beijing, while offering drivers access to parking at really low costs. It is thus a commuter-friendly travel option that is both convenient and budget-friendly.

Requirements for enjoying the 2-yuan-per-use P+R parking service:

l Use a physical Yikatong (Beijing Municipal Administration and Communication Card), a virtual Yikatong on your mobile phone, or Yikatong's QR code for bus or subway.

l Take public transport (subway, bus, etc.) between the time you exit and re-enter the parking lot.

l Use the same Yikatong (or QR code) when entering and exiting the parking lot.

l You may park any time from 4:30 to 0:30 the next day. However, overnight parking is not eligible for the discounted price.

How to park by using a Yikatong:

Any user who makes at least one bus or subway trip using a physical Yikatong, a virtual Yikatong on his/her mobile phone, or a QR code of Yikatong (for bus or subway) between the times he/she enters and exits the parking lot is eligible for the 2-yuan parking fee.

Where can you find the P+R parking lots?

You can find specific locations and details in the table below:

You can also check out the nearest P+R parking lots via Yikatong's App (北京一卡通): after opening the App, select "Travel" (出行), then tap "P+R Parking" (P+R停车) in the top-right corner.
