Winter-Spring Season of China's Civil Aviation Begins: New Routes Unveiled at Beijing's Two Major Airports

Starting from 00:00 on October 27, civil airlines in China have officially launched their flight schedules for the 2024-2025 winter-spring season.

Beijing Capital International Airport is scheduled to operate an average of 1,239 flights per day, a 2.21-percent decrease from the previous season. Similarly, Beijing Daxing International Airport plans to run an average of 953 flights every day, a reduction of 2.06 percent compared to the last season. The actual number of flights each day may vary according to the actual number of flights in operation.

For this winter-spring season, Beijing Capital International Airport will introduce two new international routes to Calgary and Luxembourg, alongside 30 new domestic routes to cities such as Hengyang, Aksu, and Huizhou. Beijing Daxing International Airport will also continue to open new routes. A new route from Daxing to Dammam of Saudi Airlines is scheduled to open on October 28; Singapore Airlines will launch round-trip flights between Daxing and Singapore starting from November 11, with one round trip scheduled every day; China Southern Airlines will launch flights from Daxing to Sydney and Melbourne in December; Royal Air Maroc plans to resume the Daxing -- Casablanca route in January 2025, with three flights scheduled each week. Additionally, 48 new domestic routes will be launched to destinations such as Wenshan, Xiannvshan, and Xiangxi.
