Registration for Divorce between Beijing Residents and Foreigners, Overseas Chinese and Residents of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan
2-Step Registration
1. Resident ID Card of the Chinese mainland resident.
2. Identity document of the spouse of the Chinese mainland resident (a valid passport or any other international travel document for a foreigner; a valid passport for an overseas Chinese; a valid Mainland Travel Permit and a valid ID card for a resident of Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR or the Taiwan region);
3. Both parties should hold three copies of their divorce agreement which clarifies the intention of both parties to divorce voluntarily and the consensuses on child support, property division, debt management, and other issues (both parties shall sign at the marriage registration authority in person);
4. A marriage certificate issued by a marriage registration authority in the Chinese mainland or by a Chinese embassy or consulate;
5. Each party shall provide two recently-taken 2-inch (3cm*4cm) color photos (half-body and bareheaded; the two photos must be the same).
