1. One of the parties is a resident of the Chinese mainland;

2. Both parties should be present at the responsible marriage registration authority in person;

3. Both parties are individuals with full capacity for civil conduct (no history of mental illness, mental retardation, etc.);

4. The agreements on child support, property division, debt management, and other issues have been reached by both parties;

5. The marriage of both parties was registered with a marriage registration authority in the Chinese mainland, or a Chinese embassy or consulate.
