An applicant who makes investment in an industry encouraged under the "Catalogue for the Guidance of Foreign Investment Industries", and makes individual direct investment totaling 500,000 USD or above (paid-in registered capital) with stable investment and a good tax paying record for three consecutive years at the time of application and three consecutive years before the date of application, who has set up foreign-funded enterprise in Beijing, and the name of whom is indicated in the column of investor in the "Approval Certificate for a Foreign-Funded Enterprise"or the "Recordation Receipt for the Formation of a Foreign-Funded Enterprise", and the  "Recordation Receipt for the Alteration of a Foreign-Funded Enterprise", may apply for permanent residence.

1. Photocopies of the valid foreign passport and visa of the applicant.

2. Two 2-inch front-facing, bareheaded, color photos taken against a white background, along with a digital copy of the photo (submitted in disk)

3.  A photocopy of the certificate of no criminal record in a foreign country (country of origin) (The certificate shall be apostilled, or certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate in that country, otherwise a certificate issued by the embassy or consulate of that country in China is needed. The time of issuance and certification shall be within six months prior to the date of the acceptance of the application.)

4. A photocopy of the physical examination certificate issued by either a health and quarantine department designated by the Chinese government, or by a foreign medical institution certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate in the concerned country (The designated exit-entry health and quarantine department in Beijing is the Beijing International Travel Health Care Center. The certificate shall be issued within six months prior to the date of the acceptance of the application.)

5. Photocopies of "Approval Certificate for a Foreign-Funded Enterprise"or "Recordation Receipt for the Formation of a Foreign-Funded Enterprise"and "Recordation Receipt for the Alteration of a Foreign-Funded Enterprise", and the column of investor shall clearly indicate the name of the applicant.

6. A photocopy of the "Duplicate of Business License".

7. A photocopy of the "Capital Verification Report".

8. A photocopy of individual tax payment certificate issued by the tax department, and the tax payment period shall be 3 consecutive years prior to the date of application.

9. A Photocopy of the "Letter of Confirmation on a Foreign Investment Project Encouraged by the State" or "Recordation Receipt for the Alteration of a Foreign-Funded Enterprise" or document issued by the competent department at the provincial level indicating that the enterprise is a foreign-funded enterprise encouraged by the state. The valid period shall be 3 consecutive years before the date of application.

10. If the applicant had Chinese nationality before, he/she shall provide the photocopies of the residence permit, the naturalization paper or the household certificate transcript in the foreign country concerned, and that of his/her Chinese passport used for naturalization.

11. Personal resume of the applicant (which shall include the details from 18 years old to present, with no missing gaps between years or months)

1. The applicant must sign the application form.

2. If the applicant's name has changed, a name change certificate must be provided.

3. The certificate issued by the relevant foreign institution must be authenticated by an additional certificate or authenticated by the Chinese embassy or consulate in that country

.4.A Chinese transcript with the official stamp by the translation company is required for any material in a foreign language.

5.All the original copies shall be reviewed before the submission of photocopies. Photocopies shall be in the A4 format.

6. If the applicant needs to print his/her Chinese name on the "Foreigner Permanent Residence Identity Card", he/she should clearly indicate whether to print his/her Chinese name in the "Other Matters to be Explained" column on the application form.

7. If the applicant hasn't canceled his or her Chinese household registration, please submit the

application after cancellation.
