Foreign Nationals of Chinese Origin Working at Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector in Beijing

Foreign nationals of Chinese origin can apply for permanent residency if he/she, on and prior to the date of application, has worked consecutively for four years for enterprises at Beijing's Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector, and resides in China for no less than six months each year.

1. Two two-inch front-facing, bareheaded, color photos taken against a white background, along with a digital copy of the photo (submitted via disk)

2. The applicant's valid passport and work-type residence permit obtained in Beijing in the past four consecutive years prior to the date of application

3. The applicant's residence permit, and certificate of naturalization or the household registration transcript issued in a foreign country, along with his/her Chinese passport for naturalization; or the original copy of the document certifying the applicant is a foreign national of Chinese origin, which is issued by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality

4. Certificate(s) of no criminal records in foreign country(-ies) (all the countries or regions where the applicant has resided for more than two consecutive years prior to the date of application) (The certificate(s) shall be certified by China's embassy(-ies) or consulate(s) in the said country(-ies), otherwise certificate(s) by the embassy(-ies) or consulate(s) to the said country(-ies) in China shall be provided. The time of issuance and certification by the Chinese embassy(-ies) or consulate(s) shall be within six months prior to the date of the acceptance of the application.)

5. The physical examination certificate issued by either a health and quarantine department designated by the Chinese government, or by a foreign medical institution certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate in the concerned country (The designated exit-entry health and quarantine department in Beijing is the Beijing International Travel Health Care Center. The certificate shall be issued within six months prior to the date of the acceptance of the application.)

6. Photocopies of the individual tax payment certificates issued by tax authority(-ies) (The tax payment period shall be four consecutive years prior to the date of application.)

7. The employer's registration certificate (If the employer is an enterprise, the duplicate of the business license is required. For any other kind, other types of certificates such as the legal person certificate of a public institution shall be provided. If the employer is a foreign-funded enterprise, a "Certificate of Approval for Establishment of Enterprises with Foreign Investment in the People's Republic of China", or a "Recordation Receipt for Establishment of Enterprises with Foreign Investment in the People's Republic of China" and a "Modification Receipt for Recordation of Enterprises with Foreign Investment in the People's Republic of China" are needed.)

8. A photocopy of the applicant's work permit (The valid period should be four consecutive years prior to the date of application. Information about the applicant's employer, position and personal details should be consistent with that in the certificate of employment and other relevant certificates.)

9. The original copy of the certificate of employment issued by the applicant's employer for four consecutive years (The enterprise concerned shall be based in the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector in Beijing.)

10. Personal resume of the applicant (which shall include the details from 18 years old to present, with no missing gaps between years or months)

1. The applicant must sign the application form.

2. If the applicant's name has changed, the proof of name change must be provided.

3. The certificates issued by the relevant foreign institutions must be authenticated by apostilles or authenticated by the Chinese embassy(-ies) or consulate(s) in the country(-ies) concerned.

4. A Chinese translation with the official stamp by the translation company is required for any material in a foreign language.

5. All the original copies shall be reviewed before the submission of photocopies. Photocopies shall be in the A4 format.

6. If the applicant needs to print his/her Chinese name on his/her Foreigner Permanent Resident ID Card, he/she should clearly indicate whether to print his/her Chinese name in the "Other Matters to be Explained" column on the application form.

7. If the applicant hasn't canceled his/her Chinese household registration or Chinese resident ID card, he/she needs to cancel first.
