Foreign nationals of Chinese origin can apply for permanent residence if he/she has, on and prior to the date of application, worked consecutively for four years for enterprises at Beijing's demonstration zone for greater openness in the service industry, and resides in China for no less than six months each year.
1.Two copies of two-inch, frontal, bareheaded, color photos against a white or pale blue background with an electronic copy of the photo submitted by disk.
2. The applicant's valid passport and work-type residence permit applied in Beijing in past four consecutive years prior to the date of application.
3. The applicant's permanent residence permit and certificate of naturalization or the duplicate of household registration issued by a foreign country and the Chinese passport for naturalization. Or the original document certifying the applicant is a foreign national of Chinese origin issued by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality shall be provided.
4. Proof of no criminal records in a foreign country (which includes all the countries or regions where the applicant has resided for more than two consecutive years prior to the date of application). The proof of no criminal records shall be notarized by China's embassy to the said country, or notarized by the embassy of said country to China. The proof and the notarial certificate by the embassy shall be issued within six months prior to the date of application.
5. Photocopies of physical examination report issued by either a health and quarantine department designated by the Chinese government, or by a foreign medical institution notarized by the Chinese embassy to the country. (The designated health and quarantine department for exit and entry in Beijing is the Beijing International Travel Health Care Center, and the certificate shall be issued within six months prior to the application.)
6. The applicant's tax clearance certificate issued by the department of taxation, with records of tax payment for four consecutive years prior to the date of application.
7. Photocopies of the employer's registration certificate. If the employer is an enterprise, the duplicate of the business license is required. For other employers, other types of certificates such as the legal person certificate of public institutions shall be provided. If the employer is a foreign-funded enterprise, the foreign investment approval certificate, record receipt, or the receipt for the record for the modification shall also be provided.
8. Photocopies of the applicant's work permit, employment permit or foreign expert certificate. The valid period should be four consecutive years prior to the date of application. Information about the applicant's employer, position and personal details should be consistent with that in the certificate of employment and other relevant certificates.
9. The original copy of the certificate of employment issued by the applicant's employer for four consecutive years, namely the enterprise at the Beijing integrated demonstration zone for greater openness in the service industry.
10. Personal resume of the applicant (from 18 years old to present, with no missing gaps between years or months).
1. Any certificate issued by foreign institutions shall be notarized by the embassy of said country to China.
2. A Chinese transcript with the official stamp by the translation company is required for any material in a foreign language.
3. All the original copies shall be verified before submitting photocopies. Photocopies shall be in A4 format.
4. If the applicant requires a green card with their Chinese name printed, it shall be indicated in the "other things to note" column in the application form.
5. If the applicant has not canceled their Chinese household registration, they should submit the application after cancellation.
