I. What are the charging standards for piped natural gas for residential use?
In accordance with the latest notice issued by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform regarding the Notice on Adjusting the Sales Price of Natural Gas for Residential Use in Beijing (Jing Fa Gai [2019] No. 1543), Beijing implements a tiered pricing system for piped natural gas for residential use. Calculated based on annual gas usage, the gas usage for residential households throughout the year is divided into three tiers, with prices increasing in each tier. Tier one is for general domestic use (cooking, domestic hot water) with an annual gas usage of no more than 350 cubic meters; wall-mounted boiler heating gas usage with an annual gas usage of no more than 1,500 cubic meters; rural coal-to-gas heating gas usage with an annual gas usage of no more than 2,500 cubic meters, priced at CNY 2.61 per cubic meter. Tier two includes general domestic gas usage (cooking, domestic hot water) with an annual gas usage between 350 and 500 (inclusive) cubic meters; wall-mounted boiler heating gas usage with an annual gas usage between 1,500 and 2,500 (inclusive) cubic meters; rural coal-to-gas heating gas usage with an annual gas usage between 2,500 and 3,000 (inclusive) cubic meters, priced at CNY 2.83 per cubic meter. Tier three includes general domestic gas usage (cooking, domestic hot water) with an annual gas usage above 500 cubic meters; wall-mounted boiler heating gas usage with an annual gas usage above 2,500 cubic meters; rural coal-to-gas heating gas usage with an annual gas usage above 3,000 cubic meters, priced at CNY 4.23 per cubic meter.

II. How to make payments?
Beijing Gas Group currently offers multiple channels for gas bill payment:
(1) For ordinary meter users:
1. WeChat Payment:
Log in to WeChat, click "Me" > "Services" > "Utilities" > "Gas Bill," enter the user ID, and follow the prompts to complete the payment.
2. Alipay Payment:
Log in to Alipay, click "More" > "Utilities" > "Gas Bill," select the payment unit, enter the user ID, and follow the prompts to complete the payment.
3. Beijing Gas App Payment:
Log in to the Beijing Gas App or the "Beijing Gas" mini-program on WeChat, register and bind the user ID with the phone number, and follow the prompts to complete the payment.
4. On-site Payment:
Present the gas payment notice to the self-service gas sales equipment and counter at the Beijing Gas Service Center, or at cooperating banks (Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Bank of Communications, Postal Savings Bank of China, China Merchants Bank, China CITIC Bank, Bank of Beijing, Huaxia Bank, Industrial Bank, China Everbright Bank, Beijing Rural Commercial Bank, China Minsheng Bank, China Guangfa Bank, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank) for payment.
(2) For IC card meter users:
1. Log in to the Beijing Gas App, the "Beijing Gas" mini-program on WeChat, or the "Beijing Gas Card Meter Gas Purchase" mini-program on Alipay, and use the Bluetooth card reader mode to purchase gas online via mobile phone.
2. Purchase gas at self-service gas sales equipment and counters at the Beijing Gas Service Center, Bank of Beijing counters, and gas sales terminals (supporting payment with bank cards bearing UnionPay logos) using the gas card.
(3) For CPU card meter users:
1. Log in to the Beijing Gas App, the "Beijing Gas" mini-program on WeChat, or the "Beijing Gas Card Meter Gas Purchase" mini-program on Alipay, and use the NFC mode or Bluetooth card reader mode to purchase gas online via mobile phone.
2. Purchase gas at self-service gas sales equipment and counters at the Beijing Gas Service Center, cooperating banks (counters and self-service gas sales terminals of China Construction Bank and Beijing Rural Commercial Bank, self-service gas sales terminals of Bank of Beijing, and counters of Postal Savings Bank of China) using the gas card. Bank purchases only support payment with bank cards from the bank itself or cash.
(4) For smart IoT meter users (NB meters):
1. Log in to the Beijing Gas App, the "Beijing Gas" mini-program on WeChat, the "Beijing Gas Card Meter Gas Purchase" mini-program on Alipay, and mobile banking Apps of cooperating banks (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Bank of Beijing), or online banking to purchase gas online.
2. Purchase gas at self-service gas sales equipment and counters at the Beijing Gas Service Center and cooperating banks (counters and self-service gas sales terminals of China Construction Bank and Beijing Rural Commercial Bank, self-service gas sales terminals of Bank of Beijing, and counters of Postal Savings Bank of China) using the user ID. Bank purchases only support payment with bank cards from the bank itself or cash.
III. Does the gas supply company conduct safety inspections every year?
According to the "Interim Regulations on Gas Supply Enterprises Conducting Safety Inspections at Residential Premises," the operating cycle for gas supply enterprises to conduct safety inspections of facilities at residential premises for users shall comply with the following regulations:
(1) For natural gas residential users with gas supply of more than 20 years, safety inspections should be conducted at least once a year; for those with gas supply of less than 20 years, safety inspections should be conducted at least once every two years. Rural residential users should undergo safety inspections twice a year, and inspections should be conducted before each heating season.
(2) For bottled liquefied petroleum gas users under delivery, safety inspections should be conducted during each delivery; for residential users not under delivery, safety inspections should be conducted at least once a year.
IV. Is there a fee for safety inspections? What services are mainly provided?
According to the "Beijing Gas Management Regulations (2020 Edition)," gas supply companies should conduct free safety inspections of users' gas premises, gas facilities, and gas equipment regularly, and keep records of safety inspections. If any safety hazards are found, users should be notified in writing to rectify them.
Users should cooperate with gas supply companies to conduct safety inspections of their premises, promptly identify and rectify any gas safety hazards.
V. How to check if there is a gas leak in the household pipeline?
Regularly check if the connecting hose is loose, detached, cracked, or deteriorated. You can regularly use a small brush dipped in soapy water to apply it to joints, switches, hoses, valves, and other parts of the gas equipment to check for gas leaks, but using open flames to check for leaks is strictly prohibited.
VI. What should be done if there is a gas smell at home?
If a gas leak is detected, users should promptly close the valve, open the windows for ventilation, refrain from using open flames, switching on electrical appliances, or making phone calls at the scene, and promptly go outdoors to a safe place and call the gas supply company's repair hotline to report the issue.
VII. How to report a repair issue?
If a problem is detected, users of Beijing Gas Group can call the 96777 service hotline or report repairs through the Beijing Gas App, while users of the municipal liquefied petroleum gas company can call the 96157 service hotline for repairs. Users of other gas supply companies should call the supply company's hotline for repairs.
