Recently, 2022 payment standard of basic pension insurance for urban and rural residents has been released. The minimum payment standard for this year is CNY 1,000 per year while the maximum payment standard is CNY 9,000 per year. Participants can choose their own payment amount within this range. Eligible participants can deal with the registration and premium payment of basic pension insurance from April 1 to December 10 this year.

Participants can apply by themselves for basic pension insurance registration via the web-based Beijing Social Insurance Online Service Platform (北京市社会保险网上服务平台) and the mobile app "Beijing Human Resources and Social Security" (北京人社). Participants can also go to any of the sub-district (township/town) government affairs service centers nearby within the administrative area of Beijing Municipality to handle the registration with valid identity documents.
