Recently, Shuangjing Station on Subway Line 7 welcomed a new store operated by the local brand Hong Xing Qian Jin Bread and Milk Company. This is the first bakery selling freshly baked food at a subway station in Beijing, marking a new effort by the subway system to improve in-station commercial offerings and provide more convenient services for commuters.
In addition, the subway authority has renovated the station's passenger service center, upgrading its facilities to enable the preparation and sale of fresh food.
The store's location was chosen based on passenger flow patterns, allowing passengers to shop without leaving the station. The counter features a simple, open design that fits the compact subway space and is suitable for the rapid flow of passengers during peak hours, making it easy for passengers to select items and make purchases quickly, saving time on their journeys.
The new bakery mainly offers freshly baked bread, egg tarts, and freshly dispensed pasteurized milk, providing options for breakfast, light meals, and afternoon tea breaks to meet the everyday needs of commuters. It also features a visible preparation area, with food made fresh and sold on the same day under strict controls on ingredient quality and food safety. The bakery's decor is in line with the station's overall style, enhancing the latter's services while making the public space more attractive.
